Fred’s Boat Sales and Service started on June 14,1998 with the idea of providing a mobile boat repair on Lake Gaston and the Roanoke Rapids Lake. At that time, I purchased a 20’ boat and customized it to carry tools and parts to work on boats without the need for a shop. As things progressed I found that I needed a full-time shop for some repairs. This led me to hiring three full-time mechanics and into sales of new boats and motors.
